Your Support Matters.
At Whaley Children’s Center, your support goes beyond financial contributions—there are countless ways to make an impact. From donating essential items to participating in drives or setting up fundraisers, every effort helps provide the children in our care with what they need to thrive.
Items Needed
In-kind donations help us make sure our children have everything they need without having to take from our general budget. Our needed items can be shipped through our Amazon Registry.
Currently, we are looking for:
Laundry Powder Detergent and Scent Boosters (Including Hypoallergenic & Enzyme-Based Detergents)
Body Wash (Including Hypoallergenic)
Cleaning Supplies
Disinfectants
Hair Care Products for Wavy, Curly, and Coily hair
Needed items can be shipped to our Center or dropped off at our Center from Monday – Friday from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.
We appreciate all donations, but because of safety and health concerns, we are unable to accept used stuffed animals, undergarments, sheets, blankets, or pillows. We also cannot accept anything that contains glass, toy weapons, or porcelain dolls for our children.
Host a Drive
Giving Tree
When your company requests a Giving Tree, we will deliver a tree to your business with assorted tags hanging from it. Each tag has a different Center need, including household cleaners, laundry supplies, children’s activities, medicines, and gift cards. We ask that you and your employees or clients purchase the items on the tags for our children. At the end of the month, we will pick up the tree and collect the items.
Pantry Pals
In 2025, our food expenses reached $238,000—an increase of 15% compared to 2024. We encourage individuals, families, and local businesses to join hands and help us stock our pantry to ensure that the children in our care have all they need. We’ll provide you with a box to fill with non-perishable food items and essential groceries.
Laundry Drive
The average household washes around 300 loads of laundry each year—but at Whaley Children’s Center, we handle approximately 25,550 loads annually to keep our kids’ clothes, bedding, and essentials fresh and clean. That’s a whole lot of laundry, but it’s just one of the many ways we provide a safe and comfortable home for the children in our care! You’ll get a box to fill with laundry essentials like detergent, laundry scent boosters, and dryer sheets.

Host a Fundraiser on our Behalf

Whether you’re planning a birthday fundraiser, a workplace giving campaign, or a community event, your support helps provide love, stability, and healing for the children in our care.

Set up a Facebook Fundraiser
Starting a Facebook fundraiser is an easy way to rally your friends and family in support of Whaley!
Simply:
- Go to Facebook Fundraisers
- Select Whaley Children’s Center as your nonprofit.
- Set your fundraising goal, share why Whaley’s mission matters to you, and invite others to donate.
Enroll your Kroger Shopper’s Card
If you shop at Kroger, you can help our kids just by purchasing the groceries you use every day. Just visit KrogerCommunityRewards.com and choose Whaley Children’s Center (Organization Number: RA745) as your charity of choice. Once you link your card, all you have to do is shop at Kroger and swipe your Shopper’s Card. Our Center will receive a portion of each of your purchases.
